What is tarot for?

  • Counsel & guidance on your current path

  • A glimpse into the future based on your current path and direction

    • The future is subjective to free will and choices made- the work is up to you

  • Understanding relationships with ourselves, others, and situations

  • Identifying and navigating around problems and obstacles

  • Unlocking blocks and emotions

  • Reflection & facing discomforts

  • Empowerment and comfort in taking the next steps forward

What is tarot NOT for?

  • Medical advice

    • ALWAYS seek medical professionals for this

  • Specified religions

    • It is open to anybody and owned by none

  • Definitive time prediction (we CAN see whether an energy or outcome is fast or slow coming, however)

    • Some readers will assign certain elements and numbers of cards to an exact translation of days, weeks, months, and years, however, I don’t personally believe this high demand of the cards is dependable. Energy is in constant flow and the cards can only predict based on the present energies.

    • I suggest checking in with tarot from time to time to see how you’re advancing towards your goals.

  • Obsession

    • The cards reflect and direct, but they cannot do the work for you. Getting readings done constantly without making moves in your life will keep you paralyzed and frustrated.

Choosing your tarot reader:

  • Tarot is a tool that gives us real guidance. This should be done in a well cleansed and energetically safe space. Although readings don’t have to be done in person, pay attention to your potential reader’s vibe and environment. If it doesn’t feel right, you can always find another.

  • Reading doesn’t require special gifts like foresight, etc. Anyone can read- however, a good reader will have a strong intuition and know how to navigate through questions. It takes a few years to really get to know the cards- this time period is a must for new readers.

  •  If you’ve walked away disappointed from a tarot reading, chances are they’ve abused or misused the art of the practice or have not gathered enough experience to understand the cards completely. You should leave a tarot reading with a feeling of resonance, despite hearing things you may not like. Growth is painful, but it will still resonate with you if it’s truly for you.
